SUMMARY:Piano Concert featuring Dr. Mark Laverty
DESCRIPTION:The concert will feature the piano works of the Three B’s – Bach\, Beethoven\, Brahms –\nand Martin Luther\, and will include sacred and classical selections such as Preludes and\nFugues\, English Suite in G Minor by Bach\, the ‘Moonlight’ Sonata by Beethoven\, a\nPrelude on ‘A Mighty Fortress’\, shorter pieces by Brahms\, and plenty of hymn singing! \nDr. Mark Laverty is the Music Director at Lord of Life in Chesterfield\, Missouri. He has\nperformed concerts throughout the United States and Europe and holds the Doctor of\nMusical Arts Degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In addition to\nconcertizing\, Dr. Laverty maintains a thriving piano studio in Chesterfield where he\nteaches students ranging in age from 8 to 80. As Music Director at Lord of Life\, he directs\nthe choir\, plays the piano and organ\, and assists with church service planning.
