DESCRIPTION:Greetings to the wonderful women of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School!\nWe are thrilled to announce the upcoming Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Retreat\, taking place in Cullman\, AL from October 13th to 15th\, 2023. This retreat promises to be a spiritually enriching experience\, offering a blend of fellowship\, worship\, and activities that align with our mission. \nFor those unfamiliar\, the LWML\, we meet every second Saturday of each month at 10am in the conference room. We also have a women’s fellowship Bible Study on the second Saturday of each month at 9am in the conference room. Our mission is to strengthen each woman’s relationship with the Triune God\, enabling her to use her gifts to serve the global community. We welcome all ladies of our congregation to join us\, and visitors are always appreciated. Our activities range from collecting “Mite Boxes” to gathering various items that aid both local and national projects. \nThis retreat is a fantastic opportunity for women from our church and parents of students attending St. Paul’s School to come together\, deepen their faith\, and enjoy a time of relaxation and camaraderie. DESCRIPTION:The concert will feature the piano works of the Three B’s – Bach\, Beethoven\, Brahms –\nand Martin Luther\, and will include sacred and classical selections such as Preludes and\nFugues\, English Suite in G Minor by Bach\, the ‘Moonlight’ Sonata by Beethoven\, a\nPrelude on ‘A Mighty Fortress’\, shorter pieces by Brahms\, and plenty of hymn singing! \nDr. Mark Laverty is the Music Director at Lord of Life in Chesterfield\, Missouri. He has\nperformed concerts throughout the United States and Europe and holds the Doctor of\nMusical Arts Degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In addition to\nconcertizing\, Dr. Laverty maintains a thriving piano studio in Chesterfield where he\nteaches students ranging in age from 8 to 80. As Music Director at Lord of Life\, he directs\nthe choir\, plays the piano and organ\, and assists with church service planning.
